What is Sculptra and Radiesse?
Sculptra Aesthetic is a biostimulant injection that uses PLLA micospheres to help the body stimulate its own collagen. The collagen production process takes 2-3 months after injection to start noticing visible results. Radiesse is Calcium Hydroxy appetite which also stimulates different types of collagen than sculptra can stimulate. Radiesse also has a “filling” component.
How long do results typically last?
Results from Sculptra Aesthetic and Radiesse typically last 2-5 years. It is important to know that everyone is different and will yield different results and longevity.
How many treatments do patients get on average?
Most clients get 1-2 treatments, some may opt for more aggressive treatments depending on their natural plumpness. Mentally preparing to do 20 vials is important when preparing for treatment as most patients are happiest with this amount.
Are Sculptra and Radiesse FDA Approved?
Yes both products are FDA Approved in America and is typically used for global volume restoration.
What problem areas does this help with the most?
Sculptra and Radiesse can help with many different types of problem areas including: projection, lifting, hip-dip, dimpling, stretch marks and more. Sculptra is best at helping subtle natural lift, skin imperfections, and dimpling.
How much volume can I expect to gain?
Most patients experience about a 1-2” volume gain, this is not comparable to a surgical BBL but is one of the only realistic alternative procedures that exists currently in America. Most patients will feel that their jeans fit tighter and they have improved buttock curvature and volume. This procedure unfortunately has its limitations and does not equal surgery.
What is the difference between Sculptra and Regular Filler?
Scultpra Aesthetic is a biostimulant that is injected under the skin. This process stimulates collagen production and volume production over time. Filler is a hyaluronic acid gel that shows immediate results and dissolves over time. Typically a vial of sculptra promotes more volume than one syringe of filler.
Who is an ideal candidate for Sculptra BBL?
Ideal candidates for this procedure have a very small amount of body fat and do not qualify for traditional BBL due to lack of “harvestable fat”, patients with low Body Mass index, and typically on the thinner side with respect to body shape and size. Younger patients build collagen faster but all ages can benefit from this type of treatment. Saggy skin can inhibit results.
How does Radiesse work?
Radiesse is a dual acting biostimulant and filler. It acts by “plumping areas” with an immediate result and a secondary biostimulant effect to build collagen. Radiesse is “hyper diluted” per research paper recommendations to provide the best lift with this product. Results last approx 1 year. This product is best on hip dips or in combination with sculptra.
How does Sculptra work?
Scultpra Aesthetic is a biostimulant that is injected under the skin. This process stimulates collagen production and volume production over time. There is not an “instant result” with sculptra, but results start to show in 6-12 weeks. Most patients will gain 1-2” of volume only.
How long is recovery?
The typical recovery is 2-5 days with mild to moderate bruising that can occur. Most patients report 1-2 day recovery.
When can I work out again?
Unlike other procedures, we recommend working out as soon as possible after the first 24 hours.
Can anyone get an Injectable BBL?
We recommend letting us know if you have any allergies to lidocaine or have had problems with sculptra, radiesse, or filler in the past. We also ask that you disclose any cosmetic or medical buttock augmentation surgeries prior to your visit. Generally speaking, most people are candidates for this procedure but those with greater BMI’s should consider surgery or combination therapies.
How long do results last?
Result longevity depends on multiple factors but can be expected to last anywhere from 2-5 years depending on the type and amount of product used. Most patients will gain 1-2” of volume. Radiesse typically lasts 1+ years but has a secondary biostimulatory effect.
What do injectable BBLs help with?
All buttock injections can help with volume loss, lift, hip-dips, cellulite, skin-tone, skin-texture, projection and more. FDA approved injectables are some of the most well known non-surgical methods for buttocks enhancement in the world, due to the fewest amount of dangerous complications associated with other types of buttock injections as seen done in other countries with liquid silicone, which is not safe.
What other options are there?
Emsculpt and cool tone muscle stimulantors as well as surgical BBL or fat transfers. Radiesse and Fillers are another option that has become more prominent in the market.
